What's New

• Table
  Table is used to contain different kinds of data in a list.With this object,  you can classify video(mp4,3gp,streaming URL), Picture(png,jpeg,gif), sound (midi,mp3.wav) and etc. in a list easily.

• Dataset
  Dataset is resourced by a table and it is an interface between  objects and  tables that they are included in its list

• Web Service
  With web service, you can transpose  different services in web to mobile application and use this service in mobile handsets.                                                    

• RSS
  RSS  is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines, and podcasts in a standardized format. With this new tool you can arrange all your RSS Feeds instantly.

• Server XML Feed
  Server XML Feeds provide an easy way for you to receive data from the XML data sources on the web. They   are very practical to use when you provide a feed  that is managed by yourself, such as top 10 ringtones and top 5 melodies etc..

• Device Signals Object
  With Smartface Designer 2.5, device signals are objects and you can make some changes on them.                                                                             

• Local Table
  Control the data as device contacts,images,videos,sounds,cbm and belong the mobile handset.         

NEWS IN ACTIONS           

• Change APN
  By opening a pop up box, this action changes current used APN  for connecting to the Internet. This pop up box includes all the used APN Connections available.                                                               

• Check Update
  This action checks the available updates for the application and includes three sub event “On Update Ready, On Update None, On Error”  to control the updates.

• Read RSS
  The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed's link into the RSS object  in  Data source wizard.

• Run Web Service
  By this action, the configured Web Service that defined in its Dataset and XML Feeds  are  triggered to start data transaction.

• Set Alert Status
  In applications, there are alerts which are triggered in given time periods and special events. This action enables or disables these alerts.

• Stop Network Access
  This action stops the active data connection ( GPRS, 3G or any other Network connection)

• Reset Objects
  This action is used returning an object to its initial state after any actions are executed.

• Set Sound Level
  With this aciton, you can set your device’s  sound level.

• Rotate UI
  This aciton rotates device user interface to portrait or landscape mode.

• Vibrate
  This action is used to Vibrate the handset for given time period in milliseconds and runs the device vibrate property on or off.

•  Parameters
  In Smartface Platform 2.5 the actions whose names are “Call, link, send SMS, send USSD, change object property, increment,decrement, set sound level, vibrate, rotate uý, move, seek” have parameter s  that sourced  Object Value,Dataset Column, Smartface Server Content and Project Resource.                                                                          

OTHER NEWS

• Ease
  In Smartface Platform 2.5, Repeatbox, Label,Submenu, Page and dialogs have a new function, ease. With this function, your objects that used in application have beter visuality than before.

• Jpeg
  A new Picture format “JPEG” is added in new platform.

• RTSP And Streaming URL
  New video formats are added as RTSP and streaming URL..for example watching tv in mobile handsets.
